Once you finish beading your lighter,
it is time to choose the placement (move the work
horizontally - right to left - until you like how
it looks on your lighter). View our finished photos
for suggestions. But remember beauty is in the eye
of the beholder; and you will be your lighters
beholder, not us. To put a bottom on your lighter
(see howto video) take a small piece of ultrasuede,
leather, or other sturdy material and placing the
beaded lighter on a corner of the material, trace
a line around the outside of the finished beads.
Set the lighter aside and neatly cut just to the
inside of your line. Remove the new oval from the
rest of the material. Then simply whip stitch the
oval to the bottom row of beads. Remember that just
as with the peyote stitch, you will be skipping
every other bead and just whipping through the high
spots.
